Director Actuary (Health) supporting Banner Plans & Networks in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead healthcare actuarial analyses for ACOs, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and commercial plans, including projections, pricing and reserving. The role manages a team, develops actuarial models and presents results to senior leadership. Hybrid role with option to work from Banner Corporate Phoenix or Mesa offices.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead healthcare actuarial analyses for ACOs, MA-PD, Medicaid and employer plans
- Manage and develop a team from interns to analysts
- Build projections, pricing and reserving models using Excel, SAS, Teradata, R, Tableau
- Present analyses to senior leaders and business stakeholders
- Hybrid role based in Phoenix with option to work from Phoenix or Mesa offices
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Healthcare actuarial analysis
- Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACOs
- Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plans
- Medicaid and commercial ACO experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- ASA designation required within 12 months of hire
- Strong experience with Excel/VBA, SAS, Teradata, and R
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid or commercial health actuarial work
