Closer to capital and risk strategy than a modelling-heavy IC role because enterprise adoption and business decisions matter more than individual model production.

Director-level Life actuarial role in Oregon focused on ALM, economic capital, and enterprise risk strategy. You’ll lead the JFSA Economic Capital program, oversee governance and reporting, manage an actuarial team, and translate capital and risk results into business, pricing, performance, and allocation decisions. The salary range is $147,750-$236,000 annually.

Requirements

Must have

  • ASA designation
  • Solid Excel skills

Strongly preferred

  • FSA designation
  • Eight or more years of actuarial experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience with economic capital regulations and governance
  • Experience managing and providing technical oversight to senior actuarial teams

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business or related field
  • Experience with JFSA
  • Power BI skills
  • Dataiku skills
