Director-level life actuary focused on annuity and reinsurance pricing. You will lead rate-setting and reinsurance pricing for flow annuity products, build MG-ALFA pricing models, and advise on hedging and embedded derivatives. Senior role reporting to the Chief Product Officer based in West Des Moines, IA (onsite options in Houston or New York also noted).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reinsurance pricing and rate setting for flow annuity products
- Build custom pricing models using MG ALFA and creative coding
- Advise on hedging, embedded derivatives, and risk-neutral valuation
- Present analyses to senior leadership, reinsurers and regulators
- Onsite role – Des Moines, IA (also Houston, TX or New York, NY options)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Annuity pricing and modeling
- Reinsurance pricing for annuity products
- Risk-neutral pricing and hedging
- Stochastic modeling using MG-ALFA or AXIS
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA or ASA designation with 7+ years progressive annuity pricing experience
- Deep knowledge of risk-neutral pricing, hedging and stochastic modeling
- Hands-on experience with annuity pricing software (MG ALFA/AXIS) or strong coding
- Experience in rate setting and reinsurance pricing for annuity products
- Ability to manage and mentor actuarial staff
