Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Director-level role leading enterprise model validation for Voya, overseeing actuarial, asset management, non-financial, and AI/ML models. You will run the validation program, maintain governance frameworks, support regulatory exams, and manage a small team. Position based in Connecticut, reporting to the Head of Corporate Risk.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead enterprise-wide model validation across actuarial, asset management, and AI/ML models
Develop and maintain risk-based model validation framework and policies
Manage a small team of validation analysts and oversee validation cycles
Work with stakeholders, internal audit, compliance and regulators (ORSA support)
Use Python and R; integrate validation platforms such as Riskonnect/Archer

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Model risk management and validation in insurance or financial services
Actuarial model validation experience
AI/ML model validation and emerging frameworks
Model governance and regulatory frameworks (SR 11-7, NAIC guidance)
Experience with validation/governance platforms (Riskonnect, Archer)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in model risk management, validation, or quantitative analytics
Bachelor's with actuarial credentials (ASA/FSA) or advanced degree required
Proficiency with Python and R for statistical/modeling work
Deep understanding of model governance and regulatory guidance (SR 11-7, NAIC)
Proven experience leading teams or directing validation programs
