Director-level finance role supporting MedStar Family Choice - DC Medicaid plan. Responsible for Medicaid finance strategy, regulatory financial filings, budgeting/forecasting, and review of IBNR estimates with independent actuary. Supervises financial analysts and prepares presentations for senior management in Washington, DC.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead Medicaid finance strategy and regulatory financial reporting for MFC-DC
- Oversee IBNR/incurred but not reported estimate review with independent actuary
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Supervise and develop Financial Analysts and coordinate with centralized finance
- Prepare presentations for senior management and regulatory agencies
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Finance/accounting in managed care or health plan organizations
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid managed care
- Experience with financial regulatory filings and reporting
- Experience reviewing IBNR/incurred but not reported estimates
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion financial systems
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years finance/accounting experience in managed care/health plan organizations
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid managed care required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
- Experience overseeing financial regulatory filings and medical expense accruals/IBNR
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft/Hyperion and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
