HIGHLIGHTS

Director-level finance role supporting MedStar Family Choice - DC Medicaid plan. Responsible for Medicaid finance strategy, regulatory financial filings, budgeting/forecasting, and review of IBNR estimates with independent actuary. Supervises financial analysts and prepares presentations for senior management in Washington, DC.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead Medicaid finance strategy and regulatory financial reporting for MFC-DC
Oversee IBNR/incurred but not reported estimate review with independent actuary
Manage budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial statements and variance analysis
Supervise and develop Financial Analysts and coordinate with centralized finance
Prepare presentations for senior management and regulatory agencies

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Finance/accounting in managed care or health plan organizations
Strong knowledge of Medicaid managed care
Experience with financial regulatory filings and reporting
Experience reviewing IBNR/incurred but not reported estimates
Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion financial systems

KEY REQUIREMENTS

5-7 years finance/accounting experience in managed care/health plan organizations
Strong knowledge of Medicaid managed care required
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
Experience overseeing financial regulatory filings and medical expense accruals/IBNR
Proficiency with PeopleSoft/Hyperion and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
