JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing and actuarial analytics for fully insured health plans and stop-loss
- Develop models to forecast utilization and client spend using claims data
- Set premiums, underwriting and reinsurance strategies for new products
- Present actuarial insights to internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership
- Director-level role (7+ years) requiring ASA or FSA; NY-based hybrid (3 days/week)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- healthcare actuarial experience (health plans/consulting)
- fully insured health plan pricing and underwriting
- stop-loss and reinsurance strategy
- utilization and spend forecasting
- actuarial documentation and regulatory filings
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of healthcare actuarial experience at carriers or consulting
- ASA or FSA designation required
- Experience pricing fully insured health plans, stop-loss, and reinsurance
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL; Power BI/Tableau/Looker preferred
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
