Director-level P&C actuarial modeling role in New York leading a new actuarial modeling team. You will design and govern advanced predictive and AI models, oversee model implementation and compliance with NYS and NYSIF AI policies, and manage staffing and development for the modeling function. Requires ACAS/FCAS and extensive actuarial leadership experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Create, staff and lead a new Actuarial Modeling team
- Lead development of predictive analytics, ML and AI-type models
- Oversee model review, implementation and NY State AI policy compliance
- Manage delivery, priorities and communication with business partners
- Director role based in New York with flexible/telecommuting options
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- actuarial model-building and predictive analytics
- machine learning and AI model development
- managing and developing actuarial modeling teams
- working with structured and unstructured raw data
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ACAS or FCAS required
- Minimum 10 years actuarial experience with 2 years post-designation managing a team
- Bachelor’s in actuarial science, math, statistics or related field
- Proven model-building and predictive analytics/AI experience
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
