JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead development of predictive models for pricing, underwriting, claims, and retention
  • Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts as a hands-on technical leader
  • Partner with underwriting, actuarial, product, finance, and IT to deploy analytics
  • Work with Python, R, SQL and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); cloud platforms are a plus
  • Flexible office or remote/hybrid arrangement; occasional travel (10–15%)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Auto insurance analytics experience
  • Predictive modeling and machine learning
  • Pricing and underwriting analytics
  • Model governance and regulatory compliance
  • Leadership of analytics teams

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years in analytics with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Prior experience in the auto insurance industry is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (master's/PhD preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise in predictive modeling and machine learning (Python/R/SQL)
  • Experience with model governance and insurance regulatory compliance
