Director-level P&C reserving role focused on workers' compensation reserving in Plano, TX. You will lead the reserving team, oversee quarterly loss and LAE reserve analysis, set and defend actuarial assumptions, and present findings to senior leadership. The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Chief Actuary. Hybrid work (up to 2 days WFH) and bonus eligibility are offered.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead workers' compensation reserving for quarterly loss and LAE analyses
- Manage and mentor a team of actuaries and analysts
- Select, document, and defend reserving assumptions and methods
- Present reserve results and research to Senior Leadership and rating committees
- Hybrid role – up to 2 days remote (based in Plano, TX)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Loss and loss adjustment expense reserve analysis
- Workers' compensation reserving
- Loss development pattern analysis and diagnostics
- Regulatory and legislative monitoring affecting reserves
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Experience managing and directing a reserving team
- Expertise in loss and loss adjustment expense reserve analysis
- Ability to select and defend actuarial assumptions and methodologies
- Proven skill communicating results to senior leadership and stakeholders
