You will prepare, review, and certify actuarial valuations, plan documents, and compliance filings (ASC 715/960, PBGC, Form 5500). The role manages an individual caseload and serves as a subject-matter expert for pension law and valuation software.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Prepare, review, and certify actuarial valuations and ASC 715/960 reporting
- Work on small-plan DB, Cash Balance, and DB/DC combo plans
- Manage your own caseload and review work prepared by others
- Use Microsoft Excel and industry pension valuation software
- Position based in Tampa, FL with Ascensus' FuturePlan team
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Small-plan Defined Benefit pension experience
- Cash Balance plan valuation and administration
- DB/DC combo plan administration
- Pension law and IRS/PBGC filings experience
- Actuarial valuations using industry pension software
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Enrolled Actuary designation (required)
- Minimum 5 years industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, or related field
- Advanced knowledge of pension law, plan documents, and IRS/PBGC filings
- Proven expertise with Excel and pension valuation software
