HIGHLIGHTS

Enrolled Actuary role supporting FuturePlan/Ascensus in Pennsylvania. You will review and certify defined benefit, cash balance and DB/DC valuations, advise on pension law and ASC 715/960 accounting, and ensure quality of client deliverables. The role is an individual contributor senior technical position reporting to the FuturePlan Lead Actuary.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Review and certify DB, Cash Balance and DB/DC actuarial valuations and reports
  • Provide technical pension law research and ASC 715/960 accounting guidance
  • Support IRS determination, PBGC filings and non-discrimination testing
  • Provide technical training and answer staff technical questions
  • Work with Excel and industry pension valuation software

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Enrolled Actuary designation with 5 years industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of pension law, plan documents and IRS determination letters
  • Experience with actuarial valuations, ASC 715/960 and pension valuation software
  • Strong Excel and technical/analytical skills
