Remote Senior enrolled actuary role focused on Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plan valuations and consulting. You will perform and review DB/Cash Balance valuations, nondiscrimination testing, PBGC/IRS filings, and FASB (ASC 715) reporting for small plans (under 500 participants). Position is fully remote within the US and reports into the Cash Balance Actuaries (CBA) practice.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Senior Enrolled Actuary role focused on Cash Balance / Defined Benefit plans
- Perform and review valuations, nondiscrimination testing, and FASB reporting
- Prepare PBGC/IRS filings, Schedule SB, Form 5500 and certify AFTAP
- Fully remote role — eligible from anywhere in the United States
- Requires Enrolled Actuary credential and 5+ years of relevant experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plan valuations
- Small plan experience (fewer than 500 participants)
- Non-discrimination testing (415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 401(a)(4))
- PBGC and IRS filings including Form 5500 and Schedule SB
- FASB ASC 715 / annual FASB reporting experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Enrolled Actuary (Joint Board) required
- At least 5 years of relevant small plan actuarial experience
- Experience with Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plan design and valuations
- Knowledge of nondiscrimination testing (415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 401(a)(4))
- Ability to prepare FASB (ASC 715) reports and PBGC/IRS filings
