Closer to an underwriting-partner role than a modelling-heavy IC role because the model work is explicitly tied to frequent pricing decisions with underwriting leadership.

Senior P&C pricing role on Liberty Mutual’s Global Surety Actuarial Pricing team in the United States. You’ll own the Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) pricing model, conduct complex pricing and reinsurance analyses, and advise underwriting leadership.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant actuarial experience required

Strongly preferred

Master's degree preferred
ACAS/FCAS or ASA/FSA designation (or comparable) preferred
Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques, standards, and business operations (financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales)
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships and interact effectively within and outside the organization
Ability to motivate and mentor peers and train subordinates
Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS) with ability to build complex models
