Closer to a pricing-underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role because frequent advice to underwriting leadership shapes live business decisions.

Senior P&C pricing role on Liberty Mutual's Global Surety Actuarial Pricing team in West Virginia, focused primarily on Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). You will own and improve the SDI pricing model, perform complex analyses, support reinsurance renewals, and advise underwriting leadership on pricing and business decisions.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant actuarial experience

Strongly preferred

  • ACAS, FCAS, ASA, or FSA designation (or comparable)
  • Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and train peers and subordinates
  • Advanced computing skills (Excel, SAS) with complex modeling ability

Nice to have

  • Master's degree
