Senior Employee Benefits pricing leader responsible for pricing strategy, assumption development, and model validation for group life and benefit products. You will build and lead the pricing organization, partner with Finance, Underwriting and Distribution, and drive renewal strategies to improve portfolio profitability. Location is flexible with expectations for hybrid work near offices such as Syracuse or New York, NY.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Head Actuary for Employee Benefits pricing with end-to-end ownership of financial outcomes
- Lead assumption development, pricing model design, and model validation
- Build and scale a pricing organization and lead cross-functional pricing governance
- Partner with Finance, Underwriting and Distribution on renewal and profitability strategies
- Flexible work: hybrid expected (2–3 days on-site if near office) or remote/hybrid
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Employee Benefits/Group Insurance pricing
- Group Life and Group Disability pricing experience
- Dental, Vision and Supplemental Health product expertise
- Pricing governance and renewal strategy
- Experience using reinsurance structures for product management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years actuarial experience in Employee Benefits/Group Insurance
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
- Extensive pricing experience across Group Life, Disability, Dental, Vision and supplemental health
- Proven leadership experience building and scaling actuarial/pricing teams
- Experience with pricing governance, assumption setting and reinsurance structures
