You will lead the Annuity Liability ALM team, set ALM and hedging strategies for annuity products (VA, FIA, MYGA, GICs, SPIA, PRT), and partner with Investment Management, ERM, CFO, and pricing teams. The role reports to the Head of Liability ALM Strategy and manages a small team.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead Annuity Liability ALM for annuity and annuity-like products
- Set and evaluate ALM and VA/FIA hedging strategies with Investment and ERM
- Build financial models to support ALM decisions and governance
- Represent Corporate Actuarial on company ALM and product committees
- Onsite in Boston, MA (role also listed for Springfield, MA)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Annuity ALM and hedging
- VA and FIA liability modelling
- ALM collaboration with Investment Management and ERM
- Valuation, pricing or capital management for annuities
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellow of the SOA (FSA) required (or equivalent credential)
- 7+ years of insurance and annuity experience, preferably U.S.
- Proven experience in ALM, hedging, pricing, valuation, or capital management
- Experience partnering with Investment Management and Enterprise Risk Management
- Experience managing and leading a small actuarial team
