Executive capital markets role supporting life & annuities at a reinsurance firm. Lead structuring and execution of debt, surplus notes, securitizations and other balance-sheet solutions, and develop internal capital markets models. Partner closely with the Treasurer, Chief Actuary and cross-functional teams. Remote-eligible for Eastern US with periodic travel to Martello Re offices.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead structuring and execution of capital markets transactions for life and annuities
- Develop internal capital markets models to assess cost of capital and risk transfer
- Partner with Treasurer, Chief Actuary, investments, risk and finance teams
- Provide functional leadership, mentorship, and oversight to junior team members
- Remote-eligible (Eastern US); periodic monthly travel to Martello Re offices
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Capital markets transactions for life and annuities
- Experience leading securitisations, surplus notes and reserve financing
- Understanding of insurance balance sheets and statutory accounting
- Collaboration with actuarial, investment and finance teams
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 8–12 years progressive experience in capital markets, insurance finance, or investment banking
- Direct exposure to life and annuities businesses required
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred
- Proven experience leading complex capital markets transactions
- Strong understanding of insurance balance sheets and statutory accounting
