Senior life actuarial leader responsible for experience studies and assumption governance across MassMutual's life, annuity and health product portfolio. Lead a team of 10+ to build data pipelines, monitoring (COMET) and translate emerging experience into actionable insights for senior management. Based in Boston or Springfield, MA, this role reports to the Head of Dividend, Inforce Management and Experience Studies and requires strong technical, communication, and leadership skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead Experience Insights & Assumption Management for life, annuity and health products
- Manage and develop a team of 10+ actuarial professionals
- Drive development of data pipelines and COMET monitoring tools
- Present assumption impacts to CFO and executive committees
- Collaborate with ERM, Pricing, Underwriting and Actuarial Data Science
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- experience studies and actuarial assumption setting
- mortality, longevity, morbidity and lapse analysis
- US life, annuity and health product experience
- valuation/pricing/CFT/ALM exposure
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of actuarial experience (U.S. market preferred)
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent required
- Proven people management experience leading a team of 10+
- Deep experience with experience studies and assumption setting
- Strong data/analytics skills (Python, R, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Alteryx)
