JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead statutory valuation and reserves for a primary annuities portfolio
- Own experience studies and annual assumption-setting for mortality and lapse
- Potential Appointed Actuary role signing SAOs and overseeing RAAIS
- Advance model governance, validation, and auditor/regulator engagement
- Requires FSA and MAAA with 7+ years US statutory valuation experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- US statutory valuation including CARVM, VM-22, and relevant SSAPs
- Annuities valuation expertise and reserve calculation
- Experience analysis for mortality, lapses and policyholder behavior
- Regulatory reporting and interaction with auditors and state regulators
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of actuarial experience with emphasis on US statutory valuation
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) required
- Deep technical expertise in annuities valuation (CARVM, VM-22, SSAPs)
- Proficiency with AXIS/Prophet/MG-ALFA and Python, SQL or VBA
