You’ll advise payers, providers, health systems, and insurance clients on product design, pricing, reimbursement, value-based care, predictive modeling, and financial performance while leading consulting teams. The role requires 10+ years of health actuarial experience, ASA/FSA-level credentials, and averages 50% travel.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of health actuarial experience
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with progression to Fellow, FSA, or career ASA designation
- Ability to travel 50% on average
Strongly preferred
- 8+ years of consulting, health plan, or insurance company experience
- 6+ years of experience leading teams
- 6+ years of experience with product design or product strategy
- 6+ years of experience with reimbursement models including value-based care or ACO modeling
- 6+ years of experience with risk adjustment, group insurance, M&A, or health care reform (individual, small group, or Medicaid)
- Ability to lead projects or workstreams
- Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
