Senior Manager health actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Insights, Innovation & Operate team, based in Portland, Oregon, with 50% average travel. You’ll advise health plans, providers, and health systems on pricing, product design, reimbursement, value-based care, predictive modelling, and transformation while leading teams and presenting to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of health actuarial experience
- ASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designation
- Ability to travel 50% on average
- 8+ years of consulting, health plan, or insurance company experience
- 6+ years of experience leading teams
- 6+ years of experience with product design or product strategy
- 6+ years of experience with reimbursement models including value-based care or accountable care organization modeling
- 6+ years of experience with risk adjustment mechanisms, group insurance products, mergers and acquisitions, or health care reform involving individual medical, small group, or state Medicaid markets
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
- Ability to lead projects or workstreams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
