Closer to client-facing consulting than an underwriting partnership role—the work spans multiple payer and provider clients and strategic engagements.

Senior Manager health actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Minneapolis-based Human Capital practice. You’ll advise payer and provider clients on pricing, product design, reimbursement, value-based care, trend, and financial performance while leading teams and presenting recommendations to executives. The role requires 10+ years of health actuarial experience, ASA/FSA-level credentials, and averages 50% travel.

Requirements

Must have

  • 10+ years of health actuarial experience
  • ASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designation
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to travel 50% on average
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Strongly preferred

  • 8+ years of consulting, health plan, or insurance company experience
  • 6+ years of experience leading teams
  • 6+ years of experience with product design or product strategy
  • 6+ years of experience with reimbursement models including value-based care or ACO modeling
  • 6+ years of experience with risk adjustment mechanisms, group insurance products, mergers and acquisitions, or health care reform involving individual medical, small group, or state Medicaid markets
