Senior Manager health actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Insights, Innovation & Operate offering, based in Stamford, Connecticut. You’ll advise payers, providers, health systems, and insurers on pricing, plan design, value-based care, reimbursement, forecasting, and financial performance while leading teams and presenting to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of health actuarial experience
  • ASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designation
  • Ability to travel 50% on average

Strongly preferred

  • 8+ years of consulting, health plan, or insurance company experience
  • 6+ years of experience leading teams
  • 6+ years of experience with product design or product strategy
  • 6+ years of experience with reimbursement models, including value-based care or ACO modeling
  • 6+ years of experience with risk adjustment mechanisms, group insurance products, M&A, or health care reform in individual/small group/Medicaid markets
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
