Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Health actuarial consultant role (health & benefits) focused on self-funded employer plans. You’ll perform IBNR/reserving, pricing and budgeting, develop large-scale actuarial and financial models, and build predictive analytics and Power BI dashboards. Position is remote-eligible (telecommute anywhere in the US) and based out of Chicago.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Consulting actuarial work for health & benefits, including plan design and pricing strategy
Perform IBNR/reserving analyses and set self-insured health care budget rates
Build forecasting, actuarial valuations and scalable financial models
Analyze and visualize data using R and develop dashboards in Power BI
Remote role (telecommuting available anywhere in the United States)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of actuarial experience
3+ years health & benefits consulting experience (plan design, pricing, benchmarking)
3+ years building actuarial/financial models, forecasting, and valuations
Proficient in R and Power BI; strong Excel and presentation skills
Experience setting/reviewing budget rates for self-insured plans and presenting results
