This is a hybrid role that can be located in any of the following offices: Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Raleigh, NC; Washington DC, Baltimore, MD; or Charlotte, NC.

What the day will look like:
- Regularly attend client meetings
- Leads financial portion of strategic discussions in client meetings
- Explains financial methodology and results to clients; as well as potential alternatives
- Maintain and manage open items lists to ensure you are providing each client with the agreed upon work
- Conduct ad-hoc projects as needed using appropriate resources (Stop Loss modeling, plan changes with Actuarial Value model, etc.)
- Present marketing results to client
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for clients
- Review financial caveats, deviations and other notes in proposals, add appropriate notes to the client RFP results presentation
- Negotiate with carriers as directed on rates, designs and plan provisions
- Develop executive summary on all key financial components of marketing and provide recommendations
- Provide financial modeling as needed on opportunity
- Ensure all commissions have been disclosed and verified for each vendor
- Provide cost estimates for PCORI to all self-funded clients at the applicable time
- Collect and submit needed financial data for bench-marking projects
- Effectively lead financial client teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team members
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Three plus of years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements
- Client consulting experience
- Self-starter who can work well with minimal supervision
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- License or Certificate Requirements:
- Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health or willingness to obtain license as soon as possible

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $72k-$150k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
