Closer to client-facing consulting than a pure modelling role because the work supports employer decisions and produces proposals, reports, and presentations.

Health actuarial consulting internship in Marsh’s Health & Benefits practice, based in San Francisco, with other West Market options including Los Angeles, Irvine, and Denver. You’ll analyze employer health care data, price medical and prescription drug plans, model plan-design scenarios, and support client deliverables in a hybrid environment requiring at least three office days per week.

Requirements

Must have

  • Legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Progress toward a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Currently enrolled student with expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028
  • Top academic achievement with a minimum preferred GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Commitment to achieving a Society of Actuaries (SOA) designation

Nice to have

  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SAS, or SQL
  • Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to develop new skills
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
