Your impact as a Health Solutions Commercial Analytics & Actuarial Innovation Sr. Consultant / Assistant Vice President

This position supports Aon's growth strategy to bring new scaled analytics products and services to the market. It challenges you to address the complex analytic needs of our clients whose organizations impact the lives of all the individuals who work at them across the globe.

What a day will look like:
  • Develop new analytics products to support Aon Health Solutions clients in utilizing latest data & analytics technology, predictive modeling, and market capabilities
  • Collaborate with analytics experts, data scientists, engineers, solution development teams, and Aon Business Services to design, develop and incubate new solutions
  • Provide financial and modeling expertise and develop novel methodologies and solutions in support of national initiatives focused on creating new, scalable, data driven solutions
  • Assist in the evaluation of external solutions and new market innovations on behalf of Aon and Aon clients
  • Assist the team in marketing, sales and prospecting activities
  • Assist in solution roll-out including creating training material and conducting regional and national trainings
  • Mentor and provide oversight and guidance to team members
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of firm-wide products and technology, and have a thorough understanding of how they create value for clients

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

Required Qualification:
  • 6+ years of experience working in health insurance or benefits consulting industry in consulting and/or product development functions
  • Experience in developing actuarial and financial models at scale such as forecasting, reporting, actuarial valuations, network/cost and quality analyses, trend, underwriting, simulations and related studies
  • Experience analyzing and utilizing large research datasets in the health insurance domain
  • Strong technical skills and experience with or desire to learn Python, R, SQL, VBA or related tools is highly recommended
  • Strong analytical and research skills, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Self-learner able to develop a concept into a prototype and develop ideas into comprehensive solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral presentation skills. Ability to present complex analytics topics to a variety of audience members and knowledge levels
  • Experience working with external carriers, vendors, clients, and leadership
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and related privacy standards
  • Ability to work in teams and be flexible to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize work across members of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualification:
  • ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation or actuarial exam record is a plus
  • Experience with medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility and program participation data
  • Experience with return-on-investment or cost model development
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as PowerBI/Tableau or Carrier and Datawarehouse reporting systems


The salary for this position is $135,000-$175,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location
