Job Description

As a Healthcare Delivery Senior Associate you will contribute to a wide variety of complex analyses and projects involving the design and evaluation of employer health and group benefit programs, with a focus on healthcare delivery strategies aimed to improve the value and quality within health plans. You will interface with vendors and client teams, help prepare and present client deliverables, and contribute to innovative intellectual capital development. You will be working closely with industry leaders as part of a core team of healthcare delivery consultants. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your knowledge of employer benefits and the healthcare delivery landscape, applying a data-driven and analytical approach to develop valuable insights and expertise.

The Role
  • Conducts analyses using WTW-developed tools and models to evaluate medical cost drivers and provider quality, as well as social and environmental risk factors within a client's population
  • Accurately interprets and communicates model output in creating client deliverables
  • Supports the development of tools and models through the collection, review, and organization of large-scale datasets
  • Supports intellectual capital development with innovative ideas to improve analytic models and solutions to meet clients' needs
  • Builds and maintains knowledge of healthcare delivery market through regular communication with vendor partners
  • Provides quality reviews for technical and consulting accuracy on client projects
  • Partners with Client Service teams to provide guidance on strategies and deliverables that will meet the client's needs
  • Presents analysis results and strategic insights during client meetings
  • Communicates complex financial/actuarial/analytic results to effectively drive client action
  • Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams


Qualifications

6+ years' experience in professional services, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or a financial function of a health insurance company or healthcare vendor
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products and services
  • Experience with big data analytic techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of medical claim data and carrier reporting
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Desire and ability to expand relationships with clients, vendors, and internal collaborators
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues with limited information and experience
  • Polished and well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
  • Ability to direct work of more junior colleagues and provide feedback
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Tableau is beneficial
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
  • Relevant financial experience and/or university degree
  • Completion of health actuarial designation (optional)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000.00 to $130,000.00USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
