HIGHLIGHTS

Manager-level health actuarial role in WTW’s Financial Actuarial & Analytics team in Minneapolis. You'll perform financial modeling, claim reporting, and rate/contribution development for employer and group health and benefit programs. The role is client-facing, leading projects for small-to-midsized clients and collaborating with delivery centers and service teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead financial modeling and claim reporting for employer/group health and benefits
  • Develop rate/contribution and funding strategies for medical, dental, life, disability
  • Client-facing role supporting small-to-mid sized employer engagements
  • Manager-level role with responsibility to direct junior colleagues
  • Based in Minneapolis (US) with state life & health license required within 90 days

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Benefit consulting or brokerage experience
  • Health underwriting or actuarial experience at an insurance company
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products and services
  • Experience with underwriting and funding concepts

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits consulting or insurer health actuarial/underwriting
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products and underwriting/funding concepts
  • Proven ability to lead multiple client projects and deliver on time
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; big-data analytics experience preferred
