Closer to regulatory compliance than a pricing-underwriting partner because the work evaluates insurers' filings for approval rather than setting rates for a carrier's portfolio.
Senior P&C actuarial regulatory role with the Ohio Department of Insurance in Columbus. You will review complex insurer rate filings, assess compliance and rate adequacy, communicate issues to filers, and support junior analysts through training and peer review. The position is permanent, full-time, and onsite Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Must have
- Completion of 3 CAS examinations for P&C Division or 3 SOA examinations for Life & Health Division or Managed Care Division or 3 CAS or 3 SOA examinations for Financial Regulation Division
- 4 years of experience in actuarial field pertinent to assigned division
- 24 months of experience in operation of personal computer
Strongly preferred
- Completion of undergraduate core program in mathematics
