JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Review health product rate filings, rating plans, and special rating programs
- Perform reserving work including cash-flow testing and asset adequacy testing
- Review reinsurance agreements and insurer loss experience
- Participate in department hearings and regulatory examinations
- Full-time in Hartford, CT; telework eligible per policy
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Experience setting insurance rates and reserves
- Health reserving techniques and actuarial standards of practice
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Eight (8) years actuarial experience in insurance, regulatory, or consulting roles
- Minimum 1 year experience setting insurance rates and/or reserves
- Associate membership in a relevant actuarial society (SOA or CAS) required
