Intermediate life and annuity product actuarial analyst supporting product development in Cedar Rapids, IA. Perform moderately complex actuarial calculations, system validation, testing and sign-off, and support regulatory and product design efforts. Work includes data extraction, model and tool maintenance, and providing technical support for implementation in a hybrid office environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support annuity, life, and employee benefit product development and testing
- Perform moderately complex actuarial calculations and manual rate-determinations
- Validate system alignment, create macros/tools, and provide technical signoff
- Work with Access/SQL/VBA and advanced Excel for data extraction and reporting
- Hybrid role based in Cedar Rapids, IA
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Modeling and business systems analysis
- Product design and regulatory requirements
- Policy administration systems and rate tables
- Data extraction and reconciliation from databases
- MS Excel formula and macro development
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in modeling, business systems analysis, or data analytics
- Moderate understanding of actuarial concepts including interest rate models
- Experience with policy administration systems, rate tables, and regulatory needs
- Proficiency with Excel formulas/macros, Access, SQL, and Visual Basic
