JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Intern on the Investments Actuarial Team supporting ALM and investment assumptions
- Assist with ALM reporting, data validation, and process automation
- Develop calculation tools and improve spreadsheets and documentation
- Hybrid role based in Des Moines, IA; ~19 hrs/week during semesters, up to 40 hrs in summer
- For college students pursuing SOA exams or actuarial credentials
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Advanced Excel with macro creation and editing
- Exposure to fixed income asset types
- Experience or coursework in programming/modern languages
- Commitment to SOA exam prep or exam credit
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Be a full-time college student (junior to graduate level) available ~19 hrs/week
- Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Computer Science
- Commitment to pursue SOA-administered actuarial exams or exam credit
- Advanced Excel skills including macros and functions
- Available to work up to 40 hours/week during the summer
