Closer to consulting client-facing than modelling-heavy IC—the client advisory and sales context outweighs the modelling component.

Life actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Minneapolis office, supporting life insurance and annuity clients with modernization, transformation, and analytics initiatives. As an Associate-level consultant, you’ll work across product development, assumptions, projection models, financial reporting, and actuarial process redesign, with travel averaging 50%.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years actuarial experience supporting life/annuity products
  • Successful completion of 2 actuarial exams
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Nice to have

  • 2+ years product development (design, pricing, filing, implementation)
  • 2+ years experience studies for life assumptions (lapse, mortality, expense)
  • 2+ years assumption setting for pricing/forecasting/financial reporting
  • 2+ years building actuarial projection models
  • 2+ years financial reporting (stat, GAAP, IFRS, tax)
  • 1+ years supporting M&A including purchase accounting
