Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role—the defining feature is executive interaction, proposals, and managing delivery teams across engagements.

Manager-level P&C actuarial consulting role in New York with responsibility for reserving, pricing, economic capital, predictive modeling, and transformation work. You will lead delivery teams, advise executives and sponsors, support proposals, and travel nationally about 50% of the time. The role also includes pension and post-retirement medical plan evaluation.

Requirements

Must have

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or related field
  • 3 years of related work experience utilizing P&C actuarial reserving, underwriting, and pricing methods
  • Proficiency in Chain-Ladder and Bornhuetter-Ferguson reserving methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, R, Python, and SQL
  • Provide insurance and retirement industry insight using data mining, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools
  • Manage day to day interactions with executives and sponsors
  • 50% travel required nationally
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years progressive experience as alternative to Master's + 3
