JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Manage an actuarial team supporting pediatric Medicaid value-based care arrangements
- Develop and apply monthly IBNR estimates and support monthly close processes
- Calculate shared savings and prepare analyses for payer settlement discussions
- Work with claims analytics to report revenue, risk score, and utilization trends
- Manager-level role requiring 5+ years health actuarial experience and strong SQL
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Health actuarial experience
- Medicaid managed care experience
- Value-based reimbursement and shared savings calculations
- IBNR development and application
- Negotiating Medicaid capitation rates
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA)
- Minimum 5 years of health actuarial experience
- Minimum 2 years of Medicaid managed care experience
- Experience with IBNR estimates and shared savings/capitation analyses
- Strong SQL skills
