Manager-level actuarial advisory role in EY's Insurance & Actuarial Advisory Services focused on actuarial modeling. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial modeling engagements: development, validation, optimization
- Work on financial and regulatory reporting for US life, health and annuities
- Manage teams and mentor staff; 5+ years’ experience with 2+ years managing
- Experience with AXIS, Prophet, PolySystems, PathWise, ALFA, Slope expected
- Hybrid consulting role with client travel; NY and other US office locations
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial modeling platform experience (AXIS, Prophet, ALFA/Integrate, PathWise, Slope, PolySystems)
- Model development, staging, validation and optimization
- Financial and regulatory reporting (STAT/GAAP) and familiarity with frameworks like VM-22
- Asset modelling and ALM including asset/liability interaction
- Mergers & acquisitions and actuarial transformation engagements
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
- Approximately 5+ years relevant experience with 2+ years people/project management
- Hands-on experience with prominent actuarial modeling platforms (AXIS, Prophet, PathWise, ALFA, PolySystems, etc.)
- Experience in model development, validation and regulatory/financial reporting
- Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
