M&A capital and risk strategist

Closer to capital and risk strategy than a pricing underwriting partner—the defining context is transaction and capital assessment, not routine live-business pricing.

Manager-level P&C actuarial role in Beverly, Massachusetts, supporting reinsurance M&A transactions. You will assess reserves and capital, price LPTs and ADCs, perform due diligence, and advise senior stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum 7-10 years of actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance

Strongly preferred

  • Qualified P&C actuary with FCAS, FSA, or equivalent designation
  • Strong P&C reserving and pricing experience across broad classes
  • Experience in actuarial due diligence, reserve reviews, or transaction support in M&A/consulting/legacy/run-off
  • Experience with deterministic and stochastic actuarial analysis and communication to senior stakeholders
  • Experience with reinsurance structures: Loss Portfolio Transfers and Adverse Development Covers
  • Proficiency in ResQ or equivalent actuarial software
  • Advanced data analysis skills using actuarial/analytical tools
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under compressed timelines
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, boards, regulators, or clients
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising actuarial analysts and junior actuaries
