Managing Health Actuary role in Chicago with responsibility for pricing, underwriting support, reserving, forecasting, and actuarial model oversight. You’ll develop complex models, teach others, lead cross-functional projects, and present analysis for decision-making. The role requires an ASA, MAAA membership, and at least four years of health insurance actuarial experience; it is hybrid, with three office days weekly.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics (other degrees may be considered)
- ASA and MAAA memberships
- 4+ years of actuarial experience in health insurance or related field
- Verbal and written communications skills
- PC proficiency including Word and Excel
- No visa sponsorship available
Strongly preferred
- Pharmacy actuarial experience
- Health insurance/managed care experience
- SQL experience
- SAS, R, or other programming experience
- Strong analytical and data modeling skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Experience analyzing large healthcare datasets
Nice to have
- Medicare experience
