Senior Health actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Government and Public Services practice, based in Tempe, Arizona. You’ll advise public-sector clients on Medicaid capitation and fee-for-service rates, policy, forecasting, fiscal analysis, and risk adjustment while supporting business development and innovative payment models. The role requires 5+ years of health actuarial experience and progress toward ASA or FSA.

Strongly preferred
5+ years of health actuary experience and consulting and/or health plan/insurance company experience
2+ years of experience with Medicaid managed care capitation rate development and/or fee-for-service rate development
Exam progress towards ASA or FSA
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to travel up to 20-50%
Ability to lead projects or workstreams
Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
Nice to have
ASA or FSA designation
Experience with Medicaid waivers (1115, 1915 b/c, 1332)
Experience with risk adjustment mechanisms
Experience with value-based care/ACO modeling
Experience with Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement
