Senior actuarial manager in a health insurer focused on large employer commercial markets (fully insured and self-insured). You will lead pricing and rating methodology refreshes, manage Stepwise implementations, monitor discount metrics and ensure parity/compliance while partnering with Sales, Underwriting and Finance. Hybrid/remote role based in Newark, NJ (employees must reside in certain regional states).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Manage pricing and financial performance for large employer commercial health markets
- Lead actuarial studies and refresh rating methodology using the Stepwise engine
- Oversee discount metrics, mental health parity testing, and guarantee forecasting
- Manager-level role requiring ASA and 8+ years of actuarial/statistics experience
- Remote role (must reside in NJ, NY, PA, CT, or DE)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Large employer commercial health markets experience
- Pricing and rating methodology development and implementation
- Experience with Stepwise rating engine
- UDS discount metrics and discount measurement
- Mental health parity testing and compliance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required
- Bachelor's degree required (Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science preferred)
- Expert knowledge of Excel required
- Must reside in NJ, NY, PA, CT, or DE
