Senior P&C pricing actuary on Nationwide’s Middle Market commercial lines pricing team in Columbus, OH (flexible/remote candidates may be considered). Responsible for strategic pricing, full P&L and portfolio management, model development and predictive analytics, and presenting findings to senior actuarial leadership. Role typically requires ACAS and 5+ years of actuarial experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing and portfolio management for middle-market commercial P&C lines
- Develop and validate predictive models and conduct complex actuarial analyses
- Present results to senior leadership and partner directly with underwriting
- Generally requires ACAS and 5+ years of actuarial experience
- Flexible location: Columbus-based with internal/external remote candidates considered
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- middle-market commercial lines pricing
- P&C portfolio and P&L management
- predictive modeling and data mining for pricing
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in P&C pricing or related functions
- ACAS credential attained (working toward FCAS)
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, or similar
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and analytical/programming tools
- Eligible to work in the US without employer-sponsored visa
