Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Life actuarial configuration role based in Columbus, OH (hybrid, remote eligible). You will configure life product rules and calculations in OIPA, translate business requirements into system behavior, and partner with Actuarial, IT, and Product on launches and reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Configure rules, calculations and system logic within OIPA (80–90% of role)
Translate product specs into configured functionality for life insurance
Work with SQL, XML, Excel/VBA and API testing (SoapUI) to validate features
Hybrid role based in Columbus, OH with remote eligibility for strong candidates
Ideal for an early‑mid career candidate with 4+ years in systems/ETL/config roles

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

OIPA configuration experience
Systems/ETL/configuration roles (4+ years)
XML, SQL and VBA/Excel familiarity
Experience applying actuarial concepts and calculations

KEY REQUIREMENTS

4+ years in systems, ETL, data, or configuration‑heavy roles
Experience with OIPA configuration strongly preferred
Familiarity with XML, SQL, Excel/VBA and SoapUI
Ability to apply actuarial concepts to configuration and calculations
Eligible to work in the US (role may be filled within lower 48 states)
