About The Role
We are involved in complex, high-stakes, multi-national litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory and disputes expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions for our clients.
FTI seeks a Senior Director and leader for its US actuarial services practice with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Property & Casualty insurance and actuarial consulting. M&A, litigation, and/or client facing experience is a plus. Responsibilities include listening to client needs, researching and writing reports, and comprehensively presenting quantitative and qualitative results from strategic consulting, performance improvement, and litigation support projects to a non-technical audience.

What You'll Do
- Supervise and perform day-to-day activities of projects including interaction with client personnel, FTI team members, and professionals from other firms involved in insurance advisory and litigation consulting engagements
- Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information to assist clients with high level modeling and valuation challenges
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations that will be delivered to clients and other third parties. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis while adapting to existing standards of practice. Participate in the management of the local office and broader practice
- Uncover the key drivers of value for the client and articulate the value of FTI's solutions to clearly differentiate the company's value and solutions in the marketplace
- Communicate the value proposition of FTI's suite of services. Instill confidence among clients with your personal credibility and experience and the company's footprint in the insurance and actuarial space. Establish client and referral relationships that enable FTI to be viewed as a trusted advisor

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Fellow in the SOA and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
- Actuarial modeling and valuation skills
- A minimum of eight years' Property & Casualty insurance industry experience
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access)
- Experienced in researching, preparing, writing reports and making presentations
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Intensely team motivated and self-motivated, oriented toward collaborative practice methods and willingness to grow
- Ability to work well independently while motivating a team
