Client-facing regulatory consulting
Closer to consulting than a carrier specialist role: varied client and regulator engagements outweigh depth in one internal portfolio.
Senior P&C Actuary role in RSM's Risk & Regulatory Consulting practice, working remotely from anywhere in the US. You will support financial examinations, rate filing reviews, reserving, pricing, capital and reinsurance risk assessments, while advising clients and regulators across varied engagements.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Statistics
- Minimum of 5+ years professional experience in a P&C insurance company, financial services or consulting firm
- No visa sponsorship available
Strongly preferred
- Knowledge of reserving, pricing, capital modeling, and/or enterprise risk management
- Experience working in public accounting or consulting firm with complex modeling, regulatory consulting and/or audit support
- ACAS, FCAS, MAAA designations
- Experience with personal lines, commercial lines, and reinsurance
- Understanding of insurance rates and regulatory requirements for supporting reserve levels
- PC skills including TeamMate, Access, Visual Basic, MS Excel
- Ability to travel on occasion
