Senior Manager-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Deloitte’s Human Capital team in San Francisco. You’ll lead client engagements covering reserving, Statements of Actuarial Opinion, pricing, financial modeling, M&A, economic capital, ERM, and strategic planning. The role also includes team leadership, business development, and client-ready analysis, with travel of up to 50% and compensation of $180,200-$355,100.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of P&C actuarial experience
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- Ability to travel 0-50%
Strongly preferred
- 8+ years of experience in insurance company or consulting environment
- 6+ years of experience leading teams
- 2+ years of experience creating advanced Excel models (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- 2+ years of experience developing client-ready PowerPoint presentations for executive-level audiences
- 6+ years of experience with statutory reporting, GAAP, Actuarial Standards of Practice, reserving methods, pricing, etc.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
- Ability to lead projects or workstreams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
