Senior Health actuarial/analytics role focused on pharmacy pricing and analytics for ASO/self-funded employer business in Oakland, CA. You will lead Rx data analytics, ASO pricing and revenue management, and support reserving and cost trend analysis. The role reports to the Senior Director, Actuarial Management and partners with underwriting, trend teams, and senior executives.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead Rx data analytics and formulary/value assessment for pharmacy benefits
- Develop ASO pricing strategies and manage revenue for self-funded employer groups
- Support claim reserves and cost trend analysis for pharmacy
- Design systems and processes for use by junior analysts to improve efficiency
- Work in a hybrid model based in Oakland, CA (business-unit hybrid default)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- pharmacy benefit manager operations and pricing
- pharmacy rebate and network dynamics
- ASO pricing and revenue management
- Rx data analytics
- managed care or payer experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years' experience in health care, PBM, or pharmacy benefit consulting
- BA/BS in Finance, Actuarial, Data Science, Math or equivalent experience
- Expertise with SAS and advanced Excel
- Deep knowledge of PBM operations, pharmacy rebate and network dynamics
