Predictive Modeler on Intact's Corporate Actuarial team supporting U.S. specialty P&C business. You will train and evaluate machine learning models, collaborate with data engineers and BI teams, and help implement and monitor models in production. Hybrid role based in Boston, MA (also Plymouth, MN option).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and evaluate machine learning models to support business decisions
- Work with data engineers to build training datasets and extract features
- Partner with IT for model implementation and BI teams for monitoring
- Hybrid role based in Boston, MA (Plymouth, MN also an option)
- Requires strong coding in Python, R, and SQL
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Experience in data science or machine learning
- Prior actuarial science experience (optional)
- Property and casualty insurance experience (preferred)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in data science, actuarial science, math, stats, or CS
- Prior experience in data science, machine learning, or actuarial science
- Strong coding skills in Python, R, and SQL
- Experience working with semi-structured or unstructured data for feature engineering
