Closer to a modelling-heavy IC than a pricing-underwriting partner—the role owns reusable methodology and exposure models rather than sitting in a traditional underwriting function.
Senior Health actuarial role at Omada Health, remote across the United States. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance, you will build pricing, ROI, performance guarantee, and exposure models for Medicare and government-market healthcare programs while working with Finance, Clinical, Commercial, payers, and consultants.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- ASA or FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries, in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or comparable quantitative field
- 10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience across Medicare Advantage, government markets, payer, consulting, or digital health
- Hands-on experience with medical and pharmacy claims and matched-cohort savings studies
- Experience designing or evaluating performance guarantees and value-based arrangements
- Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills
- Strong experience using AI in analytical workflows
- Ability to present and defend methodology to payer actuaries and consultants
- Intellectual honesty, commercial judgment, and clear written communication
- Ability to challenge assumptions and translate analysis into decisions
Nice to have
- FSA and MAAA credentials
- Direct experience with GLP-1 and pharmacy trend economics
- Experience in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, or risk adjustment methodologies
- Python or R for modeling and automation
